About Us
The Greater Tucumcari Economic Development corporation (GTEDC) is a not-for-profit 501(c)6 organization dedicated to furthering business development in Tucumcari and Quay county. We work to recruit, expand, and retain businesses that create base economic jobs and bring new money into our community.
Our membership is made up of business owners, managers and others who have a strong economic stake in our community. We believe that the best way to insure our economic future is to expand and diversify our local economy, creating new jobs for our businesses.
Our goals are:
- Build a stronger local tax base
- Give our cities and county the resources to provide quality services to our fellow citizens
- Provide good paying jobs “with benefits”, including health care
- Enhance the quality of life for Tucumcari/Quay County residents
- Selectively target businesses compatible with the Quay county Lifestyle
